In the framework of the development of the practice subject with the students of the third year of the Bachelor study program in "Social Work", on 24.03.2023 in the premises of the Faculty of Education Sciences, a workshop was organized on the topic "Future parents, a challenge to patriarchy".
Invited to this activity was Mr. Suad Arilla, social worker of the Office for Boys and Men, at the same time Regional Coordinator of the Order of Social Workers for the District of Shkodra. The purpose of this meeting was to promote positive approaches towards gender equality and inclusion in parenting. The activity continued with discussions on gender and power dynamics, parenting, caregiving, and shared decision-making as well as some aspects of violence, families and communities that fight violence. The topics addressed encouraged students to reflect and share their personal experiences. The meeting was quite interactive, and the students engaged in constructive debates.
This activity was organized under the auspices of the lecturers of the subject of Practice: Dr. Brilanda Lumanaj and Dr. Bujana Topalli.
