On 30 November 2022, the Department of Psychology and Social Work within the awareness campaign "16 days of activation against domestic violence and gender-based violence" organized the meeting with the psychologists Mira Prekperaj and Donika Marku, representatives of the association "Papa Xhovani XXIII". This meeting was moderated by lecturers Adelina Kakija and Bujanë Topalli.
In this informative/awareness activity against domestic violence and gender-based violence, the phenomenon of violence, the importance of reporting, the institutions where violence can be reported and the activity carried out by the association "Papa Xhovani XXIII" was discussed. Of interest was the atmosphere created by the examples given in response to the students' questions.
Violence against girls and women is one of the most widespread violations of human rights, so women's empowerment was the key word of this activity.
